Cyber Crime Driver week 1


I got a whole bunch of positive feedback on CCD after submitting it to the 7DBL jam, and I've been wanting to work on something boardgamey for ages. I think the game has a lot of potential, so, I'm gonna try and start posting weekly updates. This is week 1!

I am extremely interested to hear your feedback. If you reckon any changes are a terrible idea, if there's a direction you'd like to see taken, absolutely let me know in a comment.

New this week:

  • Gameplay
    • The cop spawning mechanic is now on the board in the form of the copter
    • Cops will now spawn every 3 turns, rather than 1 turn then 2 turns, 3, 4, etc
    • The slums tiles now swap your position with a cop rather than pushing them randomly
  • Look & feel
    • New graphics for all game pieces
    • New graphics for the scores
    • Better highlighting of which tiles you can move to
    • Updated instructions screens
  • Bugfixes
    • Fixed a bug where cops would get stuck on the corners/edges of the map
    • Fixed a bug where sound effects sometimes wouldn't play
